CCEDA’s Technical Assistance with Chinatown Service Center Succeeds with new CSC Lending Program

Chinatown Service Center announced the establishment ofCSC Lending to provide loans for small businesses

Chinatown Service Center (CSC) today (07/06/2023) announced the launch “CSC Lending”, small business loan service at the Golden Dragon Restaurant in Chinatown. Through a simple application process. It provides entrepreneurs and small business owners $ 5,000 to $ 50,000 business loans and support on creating business plans as a  driving force behind your entrepreneurial dreams!

Henry Kwong, chairman of the board of directors of CSC Lending, said, “CSC has been committed to serving the community for more than 52 years. We are very proud to do our part for friends who start businesses to jointly create a more prosperous community economy. CSC will continue to provide innovative services.” Chief Executive Officer Peter Ng thanked all the partners in attendance, and said that CSC Lending started with the proposal of the board members two years ago.  After being awarded with a grant through Rise Economy’s Resilience Fund Cohort, CSC was provided technical assistance by California Community Economic Development Association (CCEDA), further contributing to the birth of CSC Lending.

Roberto Barragan, executive director of CCEDA, mentioned that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the government issued many financial subsidies, but many businesses were unable to apply immediately because they did not know the details. Therefore, he was excited to see that a service provider team like CSC Lending, that is deeply connected with the community has become a bridge between the locals and the government. It not only provides multilingual services, but also understands the ethnic cultures. In addition to assisting in applying for government grants and assistance programs, CSC Lending can also provide credit credit, resulting in not only the creation of wealth, but also in an increase in employment opportunities.

Ernest Lee, Chairman of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA), Olivia Liao, Chairman of the Los Angeles Overseas Chinese Emergency Relief Association, Ma Shurong (Derek Ma), Senior Consultant of CCBA and Chairman of the Chinese American Unity Alliance,   Wang Zhuqing, the president of the California Taiwan Association, and many other distinguished guests from the industry and overseas Chinese circles were present to in support of CSC Lending services.

The loan products provided by CSC Lending are different from traditional loans. CSC Lending’s Program Manager, Jon Lin, pointed out that their team can assist in formulating business plans, financial budgets, and preparing relevant application documents. After the loan is approved, CSC Lending will also assist in the creation of marketing plans, operation guidance, business training and other professional consultations for free, and become the driving force behind your success!
