The White House’s FY2027 appropriations request includes extreme cuts to housing and community development programs, from HUD’s homelessness programs to the USDA’s rural housing programs.
The request must go through Congress, which has the power to reject and modify the appropriations. By signing this letter from the Campaign for Housing and Community Development Funding (CHCDF), your organization will join others in protecting funding now and in the future.
Per the NLIHC:
The letter also asks Congress to include provisions in all appropriations bills that prevent the executive branch from withholding, rescinding, or cutting congressionally approved funding.
