At CCEDA, our hearts go out to the communities severely impacted by the ongoing wildfires across California, including the Palisades, Sunset, Easton, and Hurst fires. These destructive fires continue to ravage vast regions, endangering homes, businesses, and the lives of countless individuals. We extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected and stand in unwavering solidarity with our first responders, whose courage, selflessness, and tireless efforts are indispensable in managing this crisis.
 
As we collectively navigate this unprecedented challenge, it is more important than ever for our community to come together and stay informed. To ensure that those in need have access to vital support, we have compiled a comprehensive list of essential resources, emergency services, and evacuation centers. These resources are designed to offer immediate assistance, promote safety, and aid in the recovery of affected areas, helping our communities rebuild and heal in the face of adversity.

Support for Those Affected by the Fires:
YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is opening select locations for temporary shelter, showers, basic amenities, and mental health support. They’re also offering childcare services (ages 5 and up) for first responders and families impacted by the fires.

Westwood Recreation Center: 1350 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Westwood (small animals allowed)
Pasadena Convention Center: 300 E Green St., Pasadena
El Camino Real Charter High School: 5440 Valley Circle Blvd., Woodland Hills
Pierce College: 6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills (large animals allowed)

Planet Fitness locations in Los Angeles are offering free access to their facilities for anyone affected by the fires, including first responders. This includes access to showers, massage chairs, locker rooms, and Wi-Fi. Contact the nearest club for details and hours.
AT&T is providing unlimited talk, text, and data for customers in fire-affected areas through February 6 (if you don’t already have an unlimited plan). Check their website for a list of impacted ZIP codes.
Boomtown Brewery in the Arts District is opening its taproom during the day for those who need a place to relax, use Wi-Fi, or work. Contact them via email or DM on Instagram for more info.
Odyssey Games in Pasadena is offering evacuees a place to charge cell phones, use the restroom, and grab a snack. Visit them at 1795 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena.
Calico Fish House in Sunset Beach, Orange County, is providing meals for evacuees and offering parking lot space for camping. Visit them at 16600 Pacific Coast Highway.
Lyft is offering up to two free rides (worth up to $25 each) to help people reach shelters. This offer is available to 500 riders until midnight on January 15. Use code CAFIRERELIEF25.
U-Haul is offering free 30-day self-storage and U-box rentals for fire evacuees and affected families. Over 90 facilities across L.A., Orange County, the Inland Empire, and other areas are participating. For more details, check their list of participating locations.
